A LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY ...
Once upon a time there was a band called 'Playing At Trains' who were active in the last century...and then there was Cygnet Ring who were signed to Warner Music for a brief period and ended their lifespan with a minor hit titled "Lovecrime" ...also in the last century! Both bands were formed by singer songwriter Rus Harrison. Well, here's the thing...he's back together with his ex band members and they are SUNMACHINE. Everyone is excited to be making music again and we hope our enthusiasm resonates across the world...well at least, for starters, across Manchester UK...and then the world!! We are presently in the studio recording our latest creations which will be aired at gigs TBA. For now go right ahead and check our debut album "NU PSYCHOLOGY" available to listen to and download on this site. It's also everywhere else in the digital space.

Some details on a life journey….”Signed and dropped by Warner Bros Records…(record company politics!!) I went underground and resurfaced with a band called ‘Shaker’ and signed to One Little Indian Records…who dropped me in favour of ‘Skunk Anansie'….(fair enough!!) So I wrote, recorded and produced a drum’n’bass album and signed to Island Music Publishing and Warner Ireland Records in Dublin…who sidelined me in favour of the ‘Corrs’. (not fair enough!!) This was all some time ago!! Since then, 2 new humans came into my life which I did my level best to give a leg up into the world…then Oesophageal cancer came along - a killer - but I went under the blade and beat that…then I fell 25 feet off a roof and broke some bones in my back and legs …and whilst lying in hospital it occurred to me that the only thing that will keep me safe is making music and so, now I am “me” again, I am getting out there with my new band SUNMACHINE to promote our debut album “Nu Psychology”.
